Apocalypse Whenever.
A recent shoot at one of my favourite locations, an abandoned railway line in the middle of nowhere, most of the track is still intact as well as several of the bridges, and i have done a few landscape walks down there before now, so thought it would be an ideal setting for a bit of fashion work
The brief was a sort of Anti CK style shoot, with a mainstream fashion feel, Classic poses but with a gritty Alternative style twist.
Bex was a new model for me to work with, but she was a fantastic person to shoot, took direction well, and also put her own thought into poses and styles, Ryan is a long term friend who had never really modelled before, but i must say was excellent on the day, a really lively character!
I set up a mini studio under one of the abandoned bridges, and bar from 1 dog walker who was quite surprised to see us all down there, it was eerily quiet on the day, especially with quite a heavy fog! The idea of taking the gasmasks was a mutual thing between myself and the 2 models, and we had some really fantastic shots using them, including one of my favourites ‘The Proposal’ which is now going to be expanded into a shoot on its own.
Studio equipment used were a few sunpak speedlight type flashes, a couple of portable ring flashes, and some wireless triggers, not forgetting my all time essential kit, some gorrillapods to use as lighting stands.
Enjoy the images, and please feel free to post comment, feedback is always welcome both positive and criticism.
