Product Work - In-acrylic.co.uk

I was recently contracted to do all of the product photography work for a local company ‘In Acrylic’ who specialise in Acrylic and Silicone  Furniture and Homewares. A simple brief to photograph all their current product range with clean white backgrounds, yet showing the products In use to give potential customers an idea of what they could be used for.

A technical challenge, as trying to photograph clear and see through products on a white background whilst still retaining the detail to each item. However with some clever lighting setups, and the use of a glamorous assistant armed with reflectors aplenty, the whole shoot on location took around 5-6hours. A plain white fabric background was used, and a strobist approach to lighting/ With 2 speedlights  back lighting the products and background to create a clean white space, 2 further speedlights at the front and a ring flash was also used as a fill light. All products were shot initially with a greycard to retain consistent white balance throughout and post production wise the batch of images could be quickly balanced to retain correct colour rendition throughout. The final images were provided to the client in a web ready optimesed resolution so they could simply drop the photos into the website ‘as is’

A pleasing if not challenging shoot overall, and feedback from the client has been positive with the possibility of more work in the future. Some samples of the work are included below, and you can see their full product range on www.in-acrylic.com
