My Diploma
One of the proudest things for me in 2010 was receiving my Diploma in
Professional Photography, a 2 year intensive course tailored specifically to
work in the photographic industry, covering all areas of photography from
studio techniques to business management, and although being a photographer
for many many years it was an achievement for me to obtain this as a
reflection of my skills and hard work.
Painted Lady
Something I have actually never tried before, using a texture overlay onto a
portrait shot. Using a generic stock image of cracked paint and then mixing
with a layer mask onto the original image of the model (in this case, my
wife Zoe) Considering it is a first attempt I am actually rather pleased with how it
has turned out, and most importantly so was my wife! Original image was shot in studio, Sony Alpha body, F11 @160/s 50mm lens, 2x
bowens heads and snooted boom head.

Concept Art - Pin-up for Heroes 2010 Calendar
A blast from the past, some of the early concept art from the 2010 Pin-up
for Heroes calendar which I have ran for the past 2 years to raise money for
the Help for Heroes charity. Shot at Neon Studio in Burntwood, Staffordshire, featuring Helen Toseny as
the Model, hair and makeup by Lucy Friend and Mary Cooke and Costume by
Pandoras Choice, with post production by Sam Dawes at Double Negative, and
of course, photography by myself!
